Lemonaid: boosting immunity, anti-inflammatory take lemonade

You know what they say, "if life gives you lemon, make lemonade!" At WFCC, we like to think more than lemon.help – We sprinkled this recipe with ingredients that include a double piece of both health benefits and a naturally delicious taste.

Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, boosts immunity and helps balance hormones

Ginger is also anti-inflammatory, great for boosting immunity and adds a gentle spicy zing

Coconut water Contains electrolytes and natural sweetness (no need for refined sugar!)

Serves 4

-1 cup lemon juice (we recommend freshly squeezed!)

-2 cups coconut water (with or without flesh, preferred)

-4 inches of fresh turmeric, peeled (Note: Turmeric blemishes. You may want gloves for that.)

-2 inches of fresh ginger, peeled

-selective: 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon honey (add more if desired)

-Optional: Ice cubes

-Optional: Cinnamon dusting

Pour the contents into a rapid mixer until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.

Enjoy a fresh slice of lemon over ice to refresh it during the warmer months. To take this recipe in the fall and winter, pour the contents into a small saucepan by heating the stove over medium heat until the desired temperature is reached. Serve in your favorite mug and as a seasonal option, sprinkle cinnamon on top. No matter what season you like this recipe, be sure to consume it right away. Mixing occurs when separated.
